Hendrik Ploeger (1965) graduated in Dutch law at Leiden University and in civil and notary law at the Free University of Amsterdam. In 1997 he completed his PhD thesis on the subject of ownership of land and the horizontal division of the ownership rights. In the same year he carried out a comparative legal research at the E.M. Meijers Institute of Legal Studies on the subject of bored tunnels and the rights of landowners.
After an assistant-professorship in civil and notary law at Leiden University, he took up in 2001 an assistant-professorship at Delft University of Technology.
He is chairman of the FIG working group on 3D Cadastres and member of the editorial board (section private law) of Ars Aequi publishers.
